The name of the firm is a reference to the proportion 5:8 (.625), a number that most famously appears in the Fibonacci Series, a mathematical progression that reflects the natural growth pattern of nearly all plants, animals, and natural phenomena. Not coincidentally, the number is proportionally embedded in some of the most pleasing works of art and architecture produced by individuals and societies throughout the ages.
